Mayors Across NJ-11 Endorse Analilia Mejia for Congress After Roundtable Discussion

Morristown, NJ — Mayors from across New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District announced their endorsement of Analilia Mejia, the Democratic nominee for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional district, for the April 16th general election.

These mayors include Maplewood Mayor Vic De Luca, Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty, Chatham Borough Mayor Carolyn Dempsey, Madison Mayor Robert Conley, Morris Township Mayor Donna Guariglia, South Orange Village Mayor Sheena Collum, Chatham Township Mayor Jen Rowland, Bloomfield Mayor Jenny Mundell, Glen Ridge Mayor Debbie Mans, and Parsippany Mayor Pulkit Desai.

“I’m honored to have the support of leaders who are on the front lines serving their communities every day,” said Analilia Mejia. “As a mom and organizer who grew up here in New Jersey, I know how hard families work just to get by. In Congress, I’ll fight to make government work for working people and build an economy where everyone has a real chance to thrive.”

Morris Township Mayor Donna Guariglia said, “Analilia is the person we need in Washington to help bring down costs and help represent our needs in Washington. She’s ready to fight for common sense solutions that will benefit all of our communities and I’m proud to support her.”

South Orange Mayor Sheena Collum said, “Communities like South Orange need leaders in Washington who understand the real challenges families and local governments face every day. Chatham Township Mayor Jen Rowland said, “Residents across our communities are looking for leadership that focuses on practical solutions to the challenges families face every day. Analilia Mejia brings the experience and determination needed to deliver results, and I’m proud to endorse her for Congress.”

Bloomfield Mayor Jenny Mundell said, “I am endorsing the Democratic candidate, Analía Mejía, for this special election. Now, more than ever we need more Democrats serving in Congress to help restore balance for our country, bring funds back to New Jersey, and to fight against threats of authoritarianism.”

Glen Ridge Mayor Debbie Mans said,  “Analilia is a proud member of the Glen Ridge community who understands firsthand what matters to the families who live here. She has spent her career fighting for working people, and I’m proud to support one of our own as she runs to represent our district in Congress.”
